1 Person is Dead After a New Year’s Fight at Waco Night Club

It's been a long night for Waco Police as they investigate a fatal shooting that took place at an area nightclub. KWTX News 10 reports that one person is dead and one person is in police custody.

The shooting is reported to have happened at 211 South Loop at the House of Blues Club. Police discovered a male shooting victim who had been hit multiple times by gunfire.

At this time it appears the shooter and the victim got into an argument in the club and it moved outside. Once in the parking lot, the shooter opened fire. Justice of the Peace Richardson pronounced the victim was dead while another person was taken into custody. The name of the victim will not be released until police have finished contacting the families.
