The band had managed to extend it's popularity all the way to 1985, thanks to this tune that rolled off the "Mutt" Lange 80's assembly line, pushing it's parent album to double frickin' platinum status. In these days when a major artist can barely go gold? By comparison, Loverboy has it's boot squarely up you current favorite act's...uh, drumhole.

So let us now to enjoy the video majesty of mid-eighties Loverboy, as they proceed to politely trash in a very Canadian way a local Holiday Inn.

And, if I may digress, there in the beginning we see some kind of female led retro combo tripping through the title song:

...and even though the video posits this as something we're not supposed to like, I would run over Loverboy just to hear more of their songs done this way....

...I mean, wouldn't that be better than watching man permed, t-shirt enthusiast lead Canadian Mike Reno mack on the future ex-Mrs. Springsteen?
