The Cats head back from College Station tonight after a tough loss in overtime, despite a great effort from the team.

Temple went scoreless in the 1st quarter, while College Station was able to put 7 points on the scoreboard.

Temple continued to play great defense into the second quarter, even though dropped passes cost them a couple of potential touchdowns. Two second quarter field goals made the score 7-6 in favor of College Station going into halftime.

The third quarter didn't offer any immediate relief, as College Station scored a touchdown only 14 seconds into the half, and a field goal a few minutes later had the Cats in a bad spot with a score of 17-6.

Finally, with 7:12 left in the 3rd quarter, TJ Rumfield connected with Xavier Johnson for a 75-yd TD pass, the first of the night. Five minutes later, De'Jon Overton ran 16 yards for another TD, which gave the Wildcats their first lead of the night.

Both teams played good defense in the final quarter, and the only score was a late field goal by College Station to tie the game at 20-20.

A missed field goal by the Cats in OT set up College Station to win on a touchdown on their next possession.

Tonight was a great effort for the Wildcats, and they can focus on finishing the last week of the regular season and looking ahead to the playoffs.
