“Where’s The Beef” Turns 30

Big Q here.  You don't hear as often, but it still heard, "Where's the Beef".  The legendary line utter in a Wendy's commercial by Clara Peller turns 30 today.

This little line turned into a national catchphrase, making Clara Peller a star, and even entering a Presidential Campaign. The campaign of "Where's the Beef" ended in 1985 when Clara cut a commercial for "Prego" claiming she finally found the beef.  Wendy's fired her and then suffered a sales slump for two years.

Clara would pass away in 1987 at the age of 85.  She made the most of her fame with countless interviews and appearances, even appearing the movie "Moving Violations".
