No, the answer isn't "Californians".

Halloween is approaching and its all about having a "scary" good time but it gives us a chance to take a look at what everybody is REALLY afraid of. So the website YourLocalSecurity.com came out with their second annual "America's Top-Searched Phobias" report and this year's report reveals that Texans, known for being a brave state, has turned into a bunch of "scaredy cats".

The YLS team used Google’s autocomplete feature to find the 15 most common ways to end the phrases “why am I afraid of/to” and “why am I scared of/to.” Gathering data from August 29, 2017 to August 29, 2018, these phrases—and the respective scientific names of those fears—were then put into Google Trends to determine which phobias each state was searching more than any other state - yourlocalsecurity.com

This year's report found that the most search phobia in Texas in 2018 was EVERYTHING. What does fear of 'EVERYTHING' mean?

Panophobia: generalized, lingering fear that something bad is about to happen - yourlocalsecurity.com

To get further clarification, I looked up the medical definition of Pantophobia and Merriam-Webster defined it as "a condition of vague nonspecific anxiety, generalized fear".

Big bad Texas, scared of EVERYTHING. What's wrong yall? Why so on edge? This probably explains why THIS study about stress may be true as well as THIS one about our "happiness" ranking.
