We featured Marvin Gaye’s biggest hit on the Morning Show!

The Morning Music Quiz is a feature of the show, and today's question went something like this-- "Marvin Gaye's second biggest hit was "Let's Get It On," released in 1973.  What was his biggest hit?"

Of course you know the answer!  "I Heard it Through the Grapevine," which spent seven weeks at number one in the summer of 1968!

This song was also recorded by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and many other artists.

Marvin was shot and killed by his father after a family argument in 1984-- with the gun that he had given his father as a gift.

Marvin Gaye is still considered one of the greatest soul singers of all time!
