Waco Home Depot Store Surprises Child With Spina Bifida

Check out what the awesome folks at Home Depot in Waco have done for three-year-old Oliver Hinkley and his mother.

Young Oliver was born with spina bifida, which affects his ability to walk. KWTX reports that Oliver's mother, Brittany, was hoping to go to Home Depot on W. Waco Drive to buy materials to create parallel bars to help Oliver walk throughout their home.

She ran into Home Depot employee Joe Espinosa. Brittany explained the situation at home to Joe, and mentioned the family had been forced to cut back on Oliver's physical therapy because of issues with their insurance company. Joe told her to take a look around the store, and that he and the crew would get started gathering the materials she needed.

By the time Brittany and her son returned to Joe, he and the workers at Home Depot had completely finished building little Oliver's parallel bars for them. The staff informed the family they would be taking care of all the costs of the materials, and that there would be no charge to Brittany for the parallel bars that will help Oliver get around at home.

What an amazing story! We need more people like Joe and the staff at Home Depot in Waco. Thanks so much for being such great neighbors guys!
