The Central Texas Airshow returns to the Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport May 3-5, and volunteers are needed to make this year's show the best yet.

“This three-day event needs over 200 volunteers performing critical tasks,” Airport Director Joseph Medici said Thursday. “There are many areas available to work, and those working at least one 4-hour shift will get a weekend pass to attend the show, plus an airshow t-shirt."

If you're interested in getting involved, make plans to attend the first Temple Airshow Volunteer Meeting this Sunday, February 24th at 2 PM. The meeting will be held in the Pilot's Lounge of the General Aviation Terminal Building (the building with the blue roof) at Draughon-Miller Airport, 7720-F Airport Road in Temple. [MAP]

The Central Texas Air Show is the largest show of its kind in our area, featuring death-defying aerial stunts, beautiful planes both modern and classic on display, pyrotechnics, and fireworks. If you've never been, make this the year you make it out.

For more information about the show or how you can volunteer to be a part of it, contact coordinator Beth Jenkins at (512) 869-1759 or email BAJPCA@gmail.com.
