A man suffered severe injuries in a tractor accident near Holland Wednesday afternoon.

According to Kathleen Serie with our news partner, KWTX, the accident occurred on the outskirts of Holland in Bell County. The man had to be flown to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

Emergency teams responded to the scene around 2:10 p.m. They found the man lying in a field near State Highway 95 and Round Hall Road. Holland Police Chief Shawn Newsom, who is also a paramedic, applied two tourniquets to the injured man before he was airlifted away.

There are no further details at this time concerning what happened or the condition of the man that was injured.
