I want to thank Big Q for doing double-duty and hosting the Morning Show while I was gone last week-- he always does a great job, and he just LOVES to get up early, you know!

I am excited about the live broadcasts starting this Thursday on K1017-- at the Gin!  One of my favorite places in Belton!  On Nolan Creek, just south of the Bell County Courthouse.  I'll be on the air live from five until seven, with chances for you to win fabulous gifts, AND roses for the ladies until they 're gone-- the roses, that is.  Hopefully, the ladies will hang around for all the food and fun!

It was on this date in 2005 that blues musician Fats Domino was rescued from New Orleans shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit the city.  The 77-year-old singer had been reported missing since the storm ravished the city.

Let's see what we can find from Fats' early days in rock and roll--

See you on the Morning Show!
