“I am very proud we are able to bring back the tournament to help raise funds for children so they can be introduced to the sport of golf,” said Sammons Golf Course Director, Jeff Ward. “Golf is a great outdoor activity that both parents and children can enjoy together, while learning the rules and structure of the game.”

Entry Fee for players is $75. Space is extremely limited and team entries are filling up fast. Tournament fee includes a round of golf, cart rental, breakfast, lunch and a goody bag. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishing teams. 1st place prize are Scotty Cameron Putters for each player. 2nd and 3rd place teams will receive prizes as well.

“The support we receive from our sponsors helps to provide clubs and teaching tools to children to keep them active and involved in the game of golf,” said Matthew Clark, Assistant Director of Golf. “We would not be able to host this great tournament without them.” He added, “I can’t believe we are in the 5th year of the event. We are very fortunate to receive so much support from our community with this event and what it does for the youth in our area.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available and start at just $100. All proceeds go to growing the game through the Junior Golf Academy. For more information on the tournament or to become a sponsor, please call Matthew Clark at (254) 771-2030.
