Supergirl got short shrift in last year’s Arrow-verse crossover, but this fall’s full-fledged four-series event with Flash and Legends of Tomorrow will more than make up for it. Not only will the Supergirl cast get to take part, but Kara and Alex are apparently central to all four hours of the November event.

Where last year only used Supergirl itself as a springboard for the three-episode “Invasion” crossover, CW bosses weren’t kidding about incorporating all four series in the 2017 successor. We don’t yet know the story or villains that bring the four series together, but Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells Entertainment Weekly that Danvers sisters Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) will take center stage:

Kara and Alex are at the center of it through all four hours. One of the things we’ve been doing a lot this season is getting back to season 1 and really making it Danvers sisters-centric, so a lot of what’s going on this season is Kara and Alex doing things in tandem, and the crossover won’t be any different.

That report comes on the heel of news that Supergirl Season 3 would recast the roles of young Kara and Alex with The Fosters star Izabela Vidovic and The Americans alum Olivia Nikkanen, as the season’s sixth episode features a “Midvale” story that delves into their family past. Young Kara was previously played by Malina Weissman, who has since moved on to Netflix’s Series of Unfortunate Events.

Elsewhere of the four-way crossover event, producers have teased a more “emotional” story than the epic “Invasion” that previously brought the heroes together. Other reports have suggested a wedding might unite the far-flung series, which could fit with similar gossip from the above report that The Flash will make good on a proposal from Season 3.

We’ll see what lies in store as Supergirl, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow premiere this October (Arrow will move to Monday for the crossover), but how might Supergirl take center stage?
