After the longest Government shutdown in U.S. history, a  bi-partisan group of House lawmakers is taking a stand. They don't want the president or Congress to receive paychecks when federal workers aren't getting paid. Equality for all right? One of the lawmakers who supports the Solidarity in Salary Act took the house floor and in his opening statement said "federal employees should never have to carry the burden caused by a dysfunctional government." that lawmaker is the Famous American Hero Rep. Dan Crenshaw. In case you missed headlines, Crenshaw is the lawmaker who refused to take his pay while the Government Shutdown was happening. The bill presented on the house floor would withhold pay from the president, vice president, and congressmen. Congress along with the President and Vice President would get paid after the government reopens.
