KWTX is reporting that the body of a man who went missing in the water at Stillhouse Hollow Lake Sunday has been found.

A justice of the peace was called for about 9 am today according to our news partners at KWTX as the body of the man had been found. The man's identity has been withheld for now as the Texas Game Wardens lead the investigation into what happened.

The search began Sunday evening as witnesses say the man attampted to swim to a sand bar island about 100 yards off shore. He realized he could not swim the distance and turned around and went under the water.

The Belton Fire Department, Central Bell County Fire and Rescue, and the Morgan's Point dive team all assisted with the search.
