The partial shutdown of the federal government has resulted in the closing of domestic military base commissaries, and one company is looking to help.

Sam’s Club stores are offering a free temporary shopping pass to anyone with a military ID or proof of past or current military service. Service members may show their information at a store service counter to receive the past which will remain valid until the end of the government shutdown or until commissaries reopen.

Sam’s Club says the offer is meant to help keep business and home necessities affordable for service members and their families.
