Salado's 3C Cowboy Fellowship are celebrating their 11th anniversary with a free dance, family trail ride, and Easter egg hunt, and it's even BYOH - Bring Your Own Horse!

Of course, if you don't have a horse, they've got you covered.

But first things first. It all kicks off with a dance Friday night, April 7, starting at 7 PM at 16258 Gooseneck Road in Salado. Folks are asked to bring finger foods, chips, dips, or dessert, and let Steel Country Outlaws handle the music.

Saturday, April 8, the trail ride starts at 11 AM. C3's Tom Wooley tells us plenty of people will be bringing their own horses, but there will be wagons, mules, and hay rides available.

Once everyone's back at the church, there'll be a chuck wagon meal followed by an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Finally, C3 will invite folks to stick around and enjoy a campfire fellowship with cowboy music. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Maybe you've heard about C3 before, but if you haven't, here's what you need to know courtesy of Tom Wooley.

"3C Cowboy Fellowship is a  21st century western heritage cowboy church. We are open to all who want to come and celebrate the Word of God without religious barriers. We have ranchers, farmers, working cowboys, rodeo cowboys, and just good, everyday people coming to worship at 3C. We started our church in 2006. This will be our 11th anniversary."

A trail ride and chuck wagon dinner at a cowboy church in a town called Salado? How much more Texan can a weekend get?
