I've been forced to watch some Olympic figure skating coverage over the past week, and I have to admit these wee ones are quite impressive.  The acrobatic jumps and spins are impressive, but we all have to admit something has to be done about those outfits.

I'll give you a prime example in the video below.  I watched this video three full times through before I realized it was from 2001.  I assumed it was 1980s fashion at its absolute worst, but ney, ney I say, it's from THIS millenium.  Before you judge me for watching Olympic figure skating footage from 2001, listen to what I've discovered.  The top video is the original, including the music (which I still haven't actually heard).  The bottom video is what I (accidentally) discovered this morning.

My music happened upon the Beastie Boys' "Brass Monkey", and in much the same accidental way that the telephone was invented, or discovering Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" matches up with The Wizard of Oz, I discovered how wonderful it can be when you forgo the gold, and skate for the Brass.  You'll have to move forward about 30-seconds into the bottom video for my remix, in much the same way you have to wait for the third lion's roar in the opening credits to Wizard of Oz before you start "Dark Side".  It just has to be that way.
