The No Pants Subway Ride 2015 is over.  It happened Sunday on subways around the world.  Why do they have it in winter?

Organized by Improv Everywhere, the First No Pants Subway Ride began in 2002 in New York as a public prank.  Only 7 people participated.   It's different now. Thousands of commuters around the world decided to leave the pants at home this year.  Organizers call it "an international celebration of silliness."

To participate you just ride the subway in your underwear.  No Pants Subway riders get on at different stops to confuse the unsuspecting people who still have all their clothes on.  The pantless don't act any different, they don't pay attention to each other, they just get on the subway wearing no pants, ride, and get off.

35 year old Justin Hardesty, hopped on the Chicago Line wearing no pants.  He says he typically wears two pairs of underwear. "I don't know if I want just one layer of fabric between me and the CTA [Chicago Transit Authority] seat,"

As for me,  I an only say, "Ewww!".  I don't blame the people who decided to stand on the subway ride home Sunday evening!  No telling where that seat has been!
