New Braunfels Can Ban includes Comal & Guadalupe River

The New Braunfels city council has announced a “Can Ban” will go into effect on August 15th of this summer.

The report comes from KSAT.com. The legwork on this effort by the New Braunfels city council goes all the way back to March of 2014 when a district judge said the ban was unconstitutional. An appellate judge ruled last month that the district judge did not have the right to take the case according to KSAT.

The City Council plans on putting together a program to educate the public about not bringing disposable containers or large coolers to the Comal or Guadalupe rivers within the city limits.
