Amazon released the "Short List", which isn't that short, and Milam County wasn't on it.

KWTX is reporting that Dallas & Austin made the list, which has 20 cities on it. At what point is 20 short?

The other cities looking to land Amazon's HQ2 include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago (with or without flack jackets?), Denver, Indianapolis, L.A., Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Nashville, Newark, and Columbus. Also, they listed northern Virginia and Montgomery County in Maryland, so it wasn't out the land of possibilities that Milam could land the whale.

Amazon plans on investing $5 billion in the new headquarters, which might employ up to 50,000 people.
