I lived almost my entire life on the plains of America. Like most people, wildland fires are never a concern until one is happening. Others think the same since the level of support for the people who fight these fires is ridiculously low.

In 2013 a freak fire took the lives of 19 men. A mother, and a wife of a couple of the victims started the Wildland Firefighter Guardian Institute in hopes to avoid this type of tragedy again.

Mike Rowe and his crew shine a light on this subject, and try to help in anyway they can.
