All the rain has taken a scary turn as a local hospital loses power.

Ever had the idea for a horror movie? I have. It starts out on a rainy night. Something evil was in the air. A young boy, who has visions, is in the hospital to get his tonsils taken out. He wakes up with a start because he just "saw" the power go out in the hospital. Suddenly the power does go out in the hospital. Part of that corny and overused premise has come true in Killeen this morning.

KCEN is reporting that Metroplex Hospital experienced a power outage Saturday morning. In response the hospital is transferring patients to Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas, Seton Hospital in Harker Heights, and Baylor Scott & White in Temple.

The hospital is calling it a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the patients.

The Emergency department is in full divert. If you are in need of emergency care you're asked to go to either Seton in Heights, or Baylor Scott & White in Temple.

Thankfully there has been no reports of injuries or death associated with the loss of power.

Crews are currently working to restore the power. You can check the Metroplex Facebook page for updates.
