UPDATE: Temple PD's Ellen Morton has responded to our inquiry about this shooting.

According to a news release penned by Morton, the victim of the shooting was an 18-year-old man named Isaac Kohlhaas. He passed away at Baylor Scott & White Hospital as a result of his injuries.

Morton did not identify a suspect. Police responded to the Temple Walmart on West Adams Avenue late Wednesday after a shooting in the parking lot of the location at 6801 W. Adams Ave. Just blocks away from my home!

KCENTV reports the shooting happened around 9:45 PM last night.

According to police, one person was shot and found in the parking lot outside the supercenter on Tuesday evening. The male victim whose name and age are not a part of the KCEN story and have not yet been released on Wednesday morning.

When the police arrived at the Walmart they found the victim and said he had been shot at least 1 time. He was taken to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center. Temple police also said they have no one in custody for the shooting and that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
