KWTX is reporting local flooding in Bell County as a result of Monday and Tuesdays showers. Rivers, creeks, and streams are on the rise with additional rainfall expected today.

A good deal of reports are coming in from west of Interstate 35. Rain chances are expected to diminish by Wednesday evening, but more rain is possible this weekend.

In Bell Country, the I-35 frontage road at Confederate Park in Belton is flooding. The northbound and southbound frontage roads are closed near Central Avenue and northbound Avenue H.

Stay away from the low-water crossing in the Shirttail Bend area of Nolan Creek as the waters have risen there as well.

The other trouble spot so far is Salado Creek. It is up and over it's banks. Chisolm Trail and South Ridge low water crossings are also closed.
