Lampasas teacher busted giving alcohol to students

Our partners at KWTX News 10 are reporting some trouble in Lampasas after a middle school teacher was discovered giving alcohol to minors.

Christie Miller was arrested for purchasing alcohol and giving it to minors according to the Lampasas County Jail. Miller has been placed on administrative leave over some unspecified allegations but is reported to have resigned prior to the arrest taking place.

She had been with the district for 10 years and was teaching seventh-grade science at the time of the incident. School superintendent Dr. Shane Rascoe said, "We are definitely saddened by it, but we’re thankful the sheriff’s department worked hard and is working with us to make sure to prevent this from happening again.”
