Let's hope Killeen PD can solve this one. Cause I'd like to see this Lyft driver get what's coming to them.

KCENTV is reporting the story of Michael and Ineshia West who moved to Killeen, Texas after they lost everything the owned during Hurricane Harvey. They had been using rideshare services to get around town, including the ride service Lyft.

When it came time to get funds together to pay for the upcoming school year in the fall, the couple decided they would attempt to pawn a 65-inch flat screen television. They loaded up the tv in a Lyft driver's automobile and headed a local pawn shop. When the couple felt they couldn't get a fair amount for the tv, they had the driver take them back home. Michael told the driver he would take a few items into the house and then come back out to get the TV out of the vehicle. No sooner was Michael inside when the driver took off with their television.

So many people lost everything they owned to Hurricane Harvey. To steal from someone who has already been through such an ordeal. Unbelievable.

Lyft told West family that they would assist local police with the investigation. The tv was stolen from the 4000 block of Water Street on Monday. What's worse is shortly after the Lyft driver took off, the couple saw their tv being offered on the web site Offer Up.

The couple attempted to contact the driver several times and even reply to the Offer Up add. So far, they have been ignored. If anyone has any additional information about this crime you are asked to please contact Killeen Police at 254-501-8830.
