Killeen Citizens Community Forum About Proposed Chemical Plant

We've received calls here at our station about a community forum taking place tonight at the Killeen Community Center being hosted by Killeen Councilwoman Shirley Fleming to help concerned residents get answers about a new chemical plant coming to Killeen.

According to our news partner KWTX News 10, MGC Pure Chemicals America, Inc. is expected to build the new manufacturing facility at the Killeen Business Park and start production by 2019. The facility will produce super pure hydrogen peroxide which has raised environmental concerns from residents in the area around the Killeen Business Park which is also Fleming's district.

The forum is set to take place at the Killeen Community Center starting at 6:00 PM and the public is encouraged to attend.
