My favorite thing to do during the day, pre puberty, was coloring.

In elementary school, you were the king if you had the Crayola Crayons 64 piece with built in sharpener.

Nothing attracted the girls like that sharpener.

"Oh, I see you've run your Blue down to dull. Allow me to sharpen that for you. You can pay me back at recess." It was the pre-teen 6 pack abs.

The strange thing was, I never used all 64. I was a true simpleton in school. Give me Blue, Red, Black, Green, and Orange and I'm fine. Not once did I say...
"Pass me the Lavender." or...

"I'm going to need to use the Melon to really bring this picture home."

Hell! I wouldn't even use the White. I just figured the paper was white already, so why bother. You finish faster that way.

When I first moved to Texas, I used coloring as a stress reliever. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I would break out the crayons. And yes, I bought myself the 64 pack with built in sharpener. Amazingly, they don't seem to impress Texas Ladies. In fact, they asked if I was having a breakdown.

"I will be if I can't find my Red Violet!"
