And you thought the only reason not to eat jalapeno chips is because they taste bad. Wait. There's another reason.

NBCDFW.com is reporting that Frito-Lay has recalled certain varieties of chips over potential salmonella contamination. It seems the seasoning could be the issue. This is just a cautionary recall. At this point, no one has gotten sick, but you still might want to stay away from Jalapeno Flavored Lay's Kettle Cooked chips, and Jalapeno Flavored Miss Vickie's Kettle Cooked chips. They both have a "guaranteed fresh" date of July 4th or prior.

Multi packs are also affected. Again with the "guaranteed fresh" date of July 4th or prior. 12 count Lay's Kettle Cooked Multipack sack.

20 Count Frito-Lay Bold Mix Sack.

30 count Miss Vickie’s Multipack Tray

32 count Miss Vickie’s Multipack Box
