Back on this date in 1966, the Beatles had their 11th number one hit with a double-sided record, "Yellow Submarine - Eleanor Rigby."

Paul McCartney said he came up with the name Eleanor from actress Eleanor Bron, who had starred with the Beatles in the film "Help!"  Rigby came from the name of a store in Bristol, England-- Rigby & Evans Ltd, a liquor store.

Here's the song.

Considering how popular the Beatles were at the time, I'm wondering how many baby girls were named Eleanor in the next couple of years?
