Peaceable Kingdom’s Kites for Kids Day is Rescheduled for March 22

Due to the weather, Kites for Kids Day didn't happen on March 15.  It has been rescheduled for March 22 from 1-4 pm at Variety's Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children in Killeen.

Peaceable Kingdom is a place where children with special needs go and have fun!

Kites for Kids Day is free and open to the entire community.  It's a free, family-friendly event open to the public.  Families will enjoy kite flying, kite contests, kite crafts, parachute games, frisbee, hiking, obstacle course, miniature golf, games, refreshments and more!  Bring your own kite or share one at the event.  Coolers and blankets welcome. No pets or alcoholic beverages allowed.

You can still sponsor a "Kite for a Kid"!  You can provide a kite for a child with special needs. A donation of just $25 will ensure that a local child with special needs gets to "fly" at Variety's Peaceable Kingdom. Your special gift will provide a kite for a child with special needs AND the opportunity to "take flight" through the educational and therapeutic programs at Variety's Peaceable Kingdom all year.
