City of Killeen Issues Two Boil Water Alerts
The City of Killeen has issued two boil water notices this afternoon. Click on either listing below to see each notice.
The notice for Clear Creek and John David is the result of a water main leak that has caused an outage. Crews are working on the matter and until further notice from the city, anyone with properties at or near these locations should boil any water before use.
The notice for WS Young is due to a water outage caused by a vehicle damaging a nearby hydrant. Crews are also working on this outage. A shout out to the crews spending their Saturday evening looking into all this!
Boiling water ensures the destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes. Any water for drinking, cooking and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use.
