If a casting director is looking for a military folks with military skills to employ their services in an upcoming television production, one couldn't do much better than to look for suitable candidates in and around the largest military base in the world. That's precisely what I saw when perusing the news this morning.

The Long Road Home is a miniseries based upon the book of the same name about the Iraq war by ABC correspondent Martha Raddatz. Austin-based casting company Brock/Allen Casting has been tasked with finding the right people for the television event. And although they are focusing on those of military service age according to the article, they're looking for all kinds of folks from all kinds of backgrounds.  Submit your resume and headshot to longroadhomeba@gmail.com.  There will be an open casting call at the KIlleen Civic Conference Center on Sunday, January 29 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
