Copperas Cove Police are asking residents who may have purchased gas at a local convenience store to contact their bank after a skimmer was found inside a gas pump.

According to a press release from the Copperas Cove Police, oficers received a call about a skimmer at the A-Stop Convenience Store at 2102 S. FM 116. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the person who discovered the device and estimated that it has been in place for several weeks.

Police are asking that if you purchased gas at the A-Stop between August 4th and September 7 2017, you contact your bank or credit card issuer and request a new card, then monitor your account and report any unauthorized transactions.
