Can You Imagine if John Lennon Auditioned on “The Voice”?

Whether you love or loathe reality TV singing competitions, they're here to stay.  What about the so-called "stars" these shows allegedly discover?  Would they last?  Would a legend of yesteryear even be deemed "stage worthy"?

I can't imagine some of my favorites from growing up being put through the wringer on a singing competition.  Do you think there's a K 101-7 artist that would have made it even if there start had to come on one of these meat market singing competitions?
