Bite The Bagel Voted Best Bagel Shop in Texas

Bite the Bagel Deli Café was listed as one of the Top 10 places for Bagels in all of Texas at besthingstx.com, so we had to try it out for ourselves.

Bite the Bagel has 2 Central Texas locations: one in Harker Heights on FM 2410, and the other in Killeen on South Clear Creek Road.  We stopped in after taking a tour of the new Vietnam Memorial at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

You'll love the atmosphere inside Bite the Bagel. Check out the photo gallery for a look inside. This place is definitely more than just bagels. They do breakfast on the go, premium lunch sandwiches, homemade soups and salads, plus muffins and desserts. They even make their own fresh peanut butter!

This morning we tried one of their cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing, and a French toast bagel with cinnamon/brown sugar walnut cream cheese. In a word: amazing! That's another great feature about Bite the Bagel - they customize their flavors of cream cheese. They've got strawberry, onion and chives, bacon scallion, honey pecan, chocolate chip spread, and more!

What about coffee? Yup, they even do that! Espresso, latte, iced coffee, tea, frappuccino, and even Italian soda are all ready at Bite the Bagel Deli and Cafe.
