Big Q Tip – Test Your Voice with Heart

I met a young lady today by the name of Lindsey Beth.  She was a guest on the Rita Ballou show.  She sang a song she wrote herself and it had some tough notes to hit, but she did it with ease.  Come to find out she'll be trying out for the Voice in coming weeks.  I have a great feeling that she'll make the Audition Show.  I've only watched the Voice a few times but it's like all the other "talent" shows.  Sometimes you shake your head and wonder how they think that there good enough to win?  This brings up the Big Q Tip for today.

Your mother will tell you that your good.  That's what mother do.  Hell, my own mother tells me I can sing, and wouldn't be able to hit a note on que if my life depended on it.  So, if you think you can sing, then record yourself and listen back to it with an open mind.  You can also sing along to a singer that has made it already.  A good litmus test is Heart.  If you can match Ann Wilson, you have a great chance at being great.  If you start cracking before the big notes, then find a new dream.  Maybe being President?  That takes little to no talent.  Here's Heart now, feel free to test yourself.
