Best Movies of 2015
Hey Derr.
Big Q here. Well it's that time of year that everyone names "The Best" of the year. I'm going to start with movies.
Now, since I don't go to the movie theater, because watching movies with people sucks. I have to wait till the movie comes out on video.
That being said, since I don't live in the Far East, I haven't seen the video of the new Star Wars movie. Also, just because it's made a billion dollars already, doesn't mean it's any good. The last 3 Star Wars movies made money, and they sucked.
Lets begin shall we.
- Ant-Man
Little Surprise
I'm not as big a geek as others. I'm just big. So when the Marvel Universe serves up this character I've never heard of, I don't expect too much. That may be the key to watching a movie. Expect everything to suck, then when it doesn't, it's a great day. Like the previous years "Guardians of the Galaxy", I didn't know the back story but the movie itself was entertaining.
- Mad Max
Fury Road Paved in Excitement
I had heard a ton of great things about this movie from the brave people who saw it in the theater. Now, normally when others say something is great, I don't agree. But this one kicked some serious butt. When the action scenes leave you sweaty, that's a good action scene.
- Avengers
Age of Ultron
I loved this movie. It has complete rewatchability. I was afraid it wouldn't live up to all the hype, but it did. For me anyway. Loved the humor, loved the action. Loved the villain. James Spader is a great bad guy, even as a robot.
- Spy
Better than Bond?
The title says it all. Better than Bond. I've heard it said by more than one person so far this year. I haven't seen the new Bond yet, but this was a funny movie. Sometimes Melisa can get to be a bit much, but this was a nice blend of action and humor.
- Mission Impossible
Rogue Nation
Simply the best of the year. Action scenes, story, humor, they all clicked for me in this one. Even if they didn't, a hollywood star latched himself too the outside of a plane and took off. Eight times. You can stop now Tom. You've done enough. Thanks.
