Asiana Pilots names from KTVU News – “Too Soon” Prank Makes it Past Producers

Hey Gang,

Either working at KTVU News is fantastic, or it's just the worst job ever.  Those are the two swings of the pendulum that would explain this "story" prank.  Friday Oakland's KTVU failed, in every way, at being a news organization.  I don't know how much "credibility" this company had Thursday, but on Friday they proved to have none.  How a whole news staff, producers, director, and chyron people could not catch this as a joke, when any 5th grader, or any adult with a 5th grader mentality, could tell that these were fake names. The station later apologized, with a strong statement that they got confirmation from the NTSB. Hopefully someone will step up and claim responsibility for this.  They'll be instantly fired of course, but they might get a job on some fake news show.  Oh wait, they already have a job on a fake news show.

This would've been so much funnier if the lead in wasn't about the young person who was struck and killed by a rescue vehicle.
