AMAZING STUFF DAVE THINKS IS AMAZING!

I think this stuff might be more amazing than the word amazing allows for it's amazingness to be defined!

Hey there, kids, a co-worker felt the need to scoff and chortle over my use of the word "amazing" in the header for one of my last posts. Oh, armchair critic of EVERYTHING,. TAKE THIS IN YOUR HYPER-CRITICAL PIPE AND SMOKE IT DOWN TO TO THE LAST AMAZING AMAZING NUB. Here's an amazing list of amazing stuff that I find amazing.

This guy, what an amazing mensch this guy is. Who knew that the leather jacket wearing, MTV talk show hosting guy back in the 90's would mature right before eyes into this ultra humanistic, grey hair bellweather of sanity and unfiltered truth, a rock to cling to in these turbulent times. In a word, AMAZING.

You know what else is amazing, freaking podcasts, that's what. A giant boom, an AMAZING tidal wave of listen when you want anywhere you want audio, with some of the smartest, funnest humans sharing the planet with us right now, just sitting down, having a talk, with no worries of commercial interruption, or having to listen to that one Maroon Five again. Just the other day I was listening to one whilst laying in the grass in the backyard on a warm sunny day. AMAZING!

Know what else is AMAZING? Thanks to this interest thing, and despite the utter self-induced implosion of the entire music industry, some of my favorite bands are still out there, still plugging away at it, and are still capable of thriving, making some of the most AMAZING music of their long careers. From Billy Idol, to Duran Duran, to O.M.D. to yes, the AMAZING Devo, not every band has to be Aerosmith, selling themselves to the highest bidder, compromising  at every turn, as their lead singer slowly turns into a mustachioed elderly Native American woman. Case in point, Z.Z. Top, whose last album was AMAZING.

And, just this last week, AC/DC! Amazing!

And one last AMAZING thing, kind in line with the above band thing yet standing apart on his own, I am eternally grateful for the continued insanity, good health and continuing career of Mr. Al Yankovic. In a word, yes, say it with me, AMAZING!!!
