Alicia Bridges Loved The Nightlife!

Remember Alicia Bridges?  She only had one big hit back in 1978, and we featured it on the morning show!

Each weekday, we play the Morning Music Quiz, and today we remembered Alicia Bridges and her only hit song, "I Love the Nightlife (Disco 'Round)", which was top five in the summer of 1978.  It was a song about a woman who was fed up with her man and just wanted to go dancing; or at least that's what I got from the song.

Alicia was born in Lawndale, North Carolina, in 1953. She moved to Atlanta and was well known there as a disco "diva". "I Love the Nightlife" was her only song that did well on the national charts.
