A Clean Dog Deserves a Clean Bed, Unless Something Goes Horribly Wrong
I decided to give Groucho a bath today since he had to go with us to visit the in-laws for Father's Day.
Here he is looking all shiny and new (except for the patches where those other dogs tried to kill him).
It's really easy to wash him when it's warm out, I don't have to get his dog hairs in my bathtub! Well since he was clean, I decided his dog bed needed to be clean to, it's machine washable so in it went. But I forgot that Groucho had torn a hole in the thing and the stuffing was falling out. Yeah, I forgot until the washer said uneven load and I found a washing machine full of green stuff. Actually my husband, Keith found it first and called me over with that ominous phrase "You need to see this".
Thank goodness Keith has longer arms than me, so he cleaned it up, that washing machine is deep! (Plus I was outside cleaning my part of the garage, more on that later).
Of course we had to throw the dog bed away, Groucho was pretty sad about that. Lucky for him we found another one out in that mess in the garage!
I am sure he will get used to it!
