I don't know how much you love Brisket or Ramen, but if you want it combined, you might want to take a quick trip to Houston tonight.

When I was stationed in Fulda back in the day, I loved me some ramen noodles. We'd heat up water with the Mr. Coffee machine in our room. We'd grab our Butterfly Canteen cup, dump the noodles in and half the seasoning. We then added the water and put a book on top of it to lock in the heat. In a few minutes the noodles were soft enough to eat.  I'd dump the rest of the seasoning in, and after a quick stir, enjoyed a tasty snack.

Maybe it's because the majority of us have been dirt poor at one or more points in our lives that we enjoy the taste of ramen. Tonight at Ramen Tatsu-Ya they've combined ramen with brisket from Truth BBQ.

Unlike the 5 minutes of cooking time in a canteen, this broth takes 70 hours to make. That might explain the $15 dollar price tag. The Smoked Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen starts at 5 p.m. and they're saying you should get in line early.

If you can't make it to Houston, try stopping by a surplus store and pick up a butterfly canteen.
