If you could throw a dart at a map and celebrate Christmas anywhere you wanted, your best bet would be to aim for the state of Texas! Wallethub's end of year rankings of the Best Places to Celebrate Christmas includes 13 Texas cities on the list of the 100 top spots.

The destinations on the list come from scores across key categories: 1) Traditions & Fun, 2) Observance, 3) Generosity, 4) Shopping and 5) Costs.

Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Dallas, Plano, Garland, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, El Paso all made the list of the top 100 destinations for Christmas. In the key categories, New York was voted "most fun", Birmingham, Alabama was the top spot for "Observance" of Christmas, the most generous city at Christmas time happens to be Seattle, Washington, and Vegas gets the top spot for holiday shopping.

Obviously, we don't need Wallerhub to tell us we are in the best state possible for Christmas here in Texas, but what are some of your favorite things about Christmas in Texas? I love that in Texas some years you can go and see Christmas lights in shorts and a t-shirt! There is plenty to love.
