Killeen police say they arrested ten people last week as part of an undercover prostitution sting.

In a media release, KPD's Ofelia Miramontez wrote that officers conducted the operation on Friday, May 19 after receiving complaints about human trafficking and online prostitution in the Killeen area.

According to Miramontez, undercover officers posted online ads and were contacted by ten people looking to hire them for sexual acts.

Seven people were arrested for solicitation, while another three were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

The department plans to conduct further operations of this nature and refer cases to the bell County District Attorney's Office.
